2013

since i am just getting started as the year is coming to an end...

thought a summary of my life in 2013 would be best done through pictures captured here and there throughout the year starting with the most recent of events.

last night of 2013. a very eventful night - that being what i remember of it anyways:/ oops.

i got to hold miss journee for the first time. i'm not much of a baby person (more so newborns) - they make me nervous. they're so fragile and when they cry, i hand them back to the mother. but journee here just loved her auntie miriah:) she sat with me for about an hour watching tv and then had a bottle and passed out. 

christmas with keifer was a success. (i'll be posting a blog with more about how it went and what we got each other).

great ending to the year when dill moved back to iowa and i think i can say that for not only myself but the whole family and all his friends.

the joy and happiness a child brings to this world is almost unspeakable - and november 26 journee nevaeh was brought into this world. such a precious, beautiful girl just like her big sister jovee ileah :) love this photo of these two!

i've been one lucky girl to get to spend so much time with these 2 fellas here these past few months:)

went gambling for my first time with keifer at lakeside casino in osceola - tons of fun and i actually came out on top! i've gone one more time since... and damn I am lucky when playing slots.

i couldn't tell you the last time this many of my family members on my mom's side were together in one place at the same time - it was a successful family reunion minus my uncle, his wife, and their 2 girls and my aunt and one more of my cousins.  

this photo says a lot. october we finally got my sister, her husband, and my nephew to move back to iowa and Easton and i couldn't express our excitement enough that we get to see them all each and every day since we have moved in with them (ok so maybe Easton isn't that excited since Dominick doesn't really understand the meaning of the word "nice").

i've made some great new friends this year as well... which, for anyone that knows me knows how big of a deal this is! 

 yes, i joined a bowling league... started in august. and i must say it's not just for old men - i really enjoy it and seem to be improving slowly but surely. oh, and this is my new ball since my other one is about 10 years old:/

july 16 i finally turned twenty-one. :D and though my birthday sucked, i have definitely enjoyed the privileges that have come with this "old age".

after living in my own apartment for a couple months and hours getting out at work, i was struggling to get by financially and had to move back home. it wasn't all that bad being i got to spend valuable time with my mom and little sisters.

3 years ago i got a tattoo with my longtime childhood friend. 7 chinese symbols: "sisters at heart". this summer i added to mine this cherry blossom tree and dragonflies symbolizing the beauty, delicacy, and strength of our friendship.

with keifer moving and taking daisy (his Chihuahua i got him as a graduation gift from college) with him, i was quite lonely. so i got myself a puppy to fill the gap... not that anything could ever replace those 2, but i just needed someone to keep me company, and that Mr. Easton sure can do!

keifer moved to des moines the first of march right before his 23rd birthday on the 25th. so his birthday weekend, dillon and i, and a couple of his friends drove down to celebrate with him. bowling, mexican food for supper, lawn games, and booze sums up the night.
