i had said in my last post that i would update you all on my plans as they became a little more... real.
well... they still aren't quite yet.
but don't give up on me. things are just a little more complicated than i had anticipated.
on a side note though:
my last weekend in des moines wasn't a total fail.
i did have my job interview.
good news there...
i was offered the job, as a team leader...
and i accepted.
so if all goes as planned, i should start on february 3rd, or even if plans fall behind that schedule, i hope...
i am going to be a MAID! yes, i said maid.

and only those of you that know me, know this is the perfect fit for me, for two reasons.
1. i am one of the most anal people you will ever meet.
my ocd is through the roof much of the time, and, well...
cleaning is a hobby.
i love waking up on sundays, opening the curtains, blasting the music, and just cleaning.
bleach is a good friend of mine, though we have had some fights when it comes to laundry and the "redesigning" of my clothes.
note to self, and all of you: don't wash anything with anything that has touched bleach... unless of course it's whites or something that doesn't matter.
2. (keep in mind the job title as "team leader" when i share with you what was asked of me in my interview)
she asked is i would have a problem with telling the individuals on my team (3 other girls plus myself) that they need to return to a place and complete a job that wasn't finished (correctly)?
ok, like dillon said...
she will learn this will be no problem for miriah.
it's not that i abuse authority, i'm just not afraid to be the "boss" especially when it comes to protecting my own job, limiting the bad conversations with the boss lady.
so yes, perfect fit, and i am looking forward to it.
pay is kinda... eh... so i am looking for a part-time waitressing/bartending job on some evenings and weekends.
i also got to spend some valuable time with both keifer and dillon, two of my favorite people;)
and if you don't recall what all i wanted to do while away over the weekend, let me just say,
wishes came true, plus some.
i got to watch all that football i wanted to watch (and dexter as well). and while doing so...
i not only got that little caesar's pizza i wanted, but...
i also got that breakfast in bed supper on the couch, i thought was too good to be true. that kid is full of surprises;p keifer - 1, miriah - 0
scratch tickets was that "plus some" that i mentioned. it's pretty much that "80 year olds, that have been together forever, and have nothing exciting in or about their lives" side of us, but if we are doing this in our 20s already, what will we be doing when we actually are 80?!
there was quite a bit more to the weekend, like my first time to tasty tacos (not as good as i imagined with all the talk it gets, but decent), a late night trip to target to buy ONE towel (keifer only had two, both which were used by dillon and keifer to dry off after their showers... and i wasn't about to dry my face off with...well, one of their towels), a couple apartment tours, sleeping in, cleaning the guy's apartment...
overall, another good weekend:)
and i'll be going back on the 23rd after i am off work.
boy, am i tired of these long trips and living out of a suit case!
can't wait to be finally moved, whenever that may be!
